Value Improving Solar Systems

in Energy

If you own a home or a premises, you may have a list of some of the things to do in order to improve the value of the property. One of them may be using solar as a means of energy so as to contribute positively to the environment. It’s a wise thought to have your own power through solar panels by buildritesydney than relying on the grid.

There are various types of solar to improve value and they are a major financial investment. Buyers across the country are happy to pay $15,000 for a home with a standard solar connection.

Options of Solar Panels.

The most suitable and efficient panels are made of silicon and they come into two forms. This are Polycrystalline and Monicrystalline. Though both perform in a similar manner, polycrystalline is what is used today. Silicon panel’s efficiency ranges from eighteen percent to twenty two percent.

The thin film panel is another type of panel and it’s mainly used on solar tile and shingles. However they are less efficient and expensive to produce. Their efficiency is about eleven percent and thirteen percent. This percentage will have an impact on the amount the panels can generate.

Options of Solar Systems

While installing a solar system from buildritesydney in your property, there are only two options available. The first one is connecting to your area’s grid which enables you to sell back any excess power from your system. It costs less because less equipment is required and low maintenance than an off-the- grid system. However, when the sun is not shining, power from the grid supplies your home which does away with the need of batteries and generators.

The second one is off-grid and comes with a number of batteries and a generator which serves as a backup since it stores power. The stored power is used when there is no sunshine or the days are cloudy. It’s suitable for the very remote areas where installing a power line would be more expensive than solar panels. Other equipment that an off grid system uses are equipment for power conditioning, meters, safety equipment and instrumentation.

Amount that can be saved.

While installing solar two things will vary. These are the cost of the solar system and the money saved after installation, though this depends on the rates in your locality.

How much value is added?

According to the National Renewable Energy Laboratory report, it can be concluded that a solar system that gives $400 savings annually, adds a value of $8000 to your premises. However according to a housing sales agent not every buyer views a solar system as an advantage. Hence it’s not easy to know right away how solar panels affect the prices of properties.

It’s important to note, solar panels from buildritesydney will save money meant for electricity bills and it’s also a positive deed to the environment. As long as the right buyer can be found, a good working solar system will definitely add value to your property.
