After all, depending on what type of shoe they’re wearing, you can discern a lot about who they are, what they do, even their age in some cases. But, beyond our day-to-day go-to’s, it’s nice to have several options in our wardrobes to pick and choose from when we want to switch things up. Say you have a road trip coming up, and you know you’re going to be hiking at some point – hopefully, you own some hiking boots! You get the idea.

Whether you’re traveling to Europe to roam the curved and winding streets or just visiting a friend who lives near the perfect walking park, walkers are a must-have in your shoe arsenal. Gone are the days of walking shoes only looking like they belong to seniors. Even high-end-style houses design shoes specifically designed as walkers. So, even the most fashion-forward of you can have your style wants to be met, and your spine health and foot comfort obtained.
Flip Flops And Slides
Are you visiting a beach town? It would be best if you had something like flip flops or slides that are not only easy to take on and off as you get on the sand or dip your toes in the ocean – but they’re also light to carry as you’re walking in those environments. Additionally, they tend to be relatively flat, so they’re easy to stow in a beach tote or backpack. They also look effortlessly cool and laid back with the type of clothing you’re most likely wearing in a beachfront town. Loafers Or Flats
Depending on your style and maybe even your gender, you want a pair of loafers of flats. While everyone looks chic in a pair of loafers, not everyone wants to wear flats. But, the best part about both of these styles of shoes is not only do they look more elevated than a sneaker or a flip flop (obviously) but they can, for almost all occasions, take you from day to night. Which, depending on how packed your schedule is that day, means you don’t need to head home or back to a hotel room to adjust your footwear for the evening plans you made. So, make sure you have a pair of versatile shoes like loafers that can make you seamlessly flow through your day stress-free and still stylish.
All-Weather Boots
Maybe you live in Seattle, and perhaps you’re visiting Alaska. Everyone needs a pair of all-weather boots in their possession. Not only can they protect your feet (which play a crucial role in regulating body temperature) from harsh elements like rain or snow, they can also prevent accidents like slips and falls. They can also double as a hiking boot if the town you’re in is hilly, rural, or you’re spending most of your time outside. While you may not get as much use out of all-weather boots as the shoes as mentioned earlier, since they’re seasonal and specific, it’s still a good idea to own a pair.

Plenty of people would feel comfortable wearing high heels walking around town all day – we’ve all seen Sex and The City, right? Carrie did it, and maybe you can too!
