Finding and Mounting Outdoor Solar Shades

in Mowers & Outdoor Power Tools

With blazing heat and ultraviolet rays, you won’t think of stepping outside your house. Outdoor solar shades provide a connection between you and nature without feeling its wrath.

Are Solar Shades really Important?

Obtaining a cozy environment is not always easy when you have nosy neighbors around. This is because solar shades are made with woven fabric that allows light and air to pass through. During the day, while you are inside your home, nosy neighbors can’t pop their noses in your business because they can’t see you. Passers-by can only enjoy the combination of beauty and technology of materials used to make your solar shade.

Finding and Mounting Outdoor Solar Shades

During the night, the situation isn’t the same; artistic night stalkers can sketch your shadow while you enjoy a hot dinner- because they can see you when the lights are on in your home. When lights are switched on, solar shades offer less protection. Combine solar shades with other types of blinds like blackout blinds for proper protection at night.

Finding an excellent solar shade

One factor you need to consider while choosing appropriate outdoor solar shade is the level of openness. It means the amount of light passing through and visibility. 0% openness represents total obstruction from outside view. 14%, which is the highest percentage represents excellent visibility. A reasonable amount of light also passes through without obstructing your retina from exploring beauties surrounding you.

While selecting an excellent solar shade, you must consider the amount of light passing through. During harsh winter months, when everything is covered in snow, a lot of light is reflected when the sun’s dimmest rays hit the surface. You should select sun shades rated below 7%. The opposite is applicable, during warm summer days when nature is at its fullest, several insects, birds, and other animals are at their topmost; you don’t want to miss this action. Choose solar shades that are rated above 7%, where you can enjoy your garden in clear view.

You don’t want to choose an outdoor solar shade that doesn’t match with your interior décor. It’s of essence you select a color that conforms to you from a long list of available color bands. Color is a personal choice, go for whatever impresses you.

Consider solar shades that have a printed pattern that is well suited for your décor. For instance, if you already have blinds or shades with a particularly unique design, go for solar shades with the same or closely related model as your existing shades.

Where do you install outdoor shades?

You must know the purpose of your solar shade before even moving on. Some outdoor solar shades are made specifically for the use of braving the harmful effects of harsh weather. Still, the critical functionality of solar shade is well-known. Let’s see how you can set up your outdoor shades.

Some portions of your house like verandahs, conservatories, etc. are exposed to harsh elements, yet the same place offers an intrinsic view of the surroundings. This is the perfect place for you to set up outdoor shades. Outdoor spaces will create a long term investment for you to sit and relax with family and friends if only they are fitted with outdoor solar shades.
