We all know how to clean a kitchen. It requires hard work, patience, and a lot of time. What if other methods could make your job that much easier? There are many things you can do to clean appliances and countertops in your kitchen quickly and easily. Here are four tips to keep your kitchen clean in 2020.
Hard alcohol on stainless steel
Do you have any stains on your stainless steel that you just can’t get off, no matter how much soap and water you use? There’s a simple workaround to this that will get all of these stains off in no time. The experts at My Maid cleaning blog recommend grabbing yourself a bottle of vodka or hard alcohol, pouring it onto a cloth, and scrubbing away that stain. You’ll be amazed at how quickly all of that grime gets lifted off of the surface. Feel free to use this on any stainless steel appliance to keep it clean and shiny.
Clean the microwave with steam.
Microwaves, while extremely practical, can also get extremely messy. Depending on what you microwave, food or liquid can explode and cake onto the microwave walls and screen. If left for a while, it hardens and becomes extremely difficult to get off. What can you do then? Boil some hot water on the stove, and then stick it in the microwave and heat it for about five minutes. All of that grime will loosen up, allowing you to simply wipe it all off with a cloth.
Clean cutting boards with lemon.
While most cutting boards nowadays can be thrown into a dishwasher, wooden boards can be a little different. If there are any stains on these, it might be extremely hard to remove them. A solution to this would be to put lemons and some salt. Pour the salt on the cutting board, sit for a few minutes, and then rub it with a lemon. Not only will this help to remove all of the stains on the board, but it will also leave it smelling fresh. Rinse off when you’re finished and leave it to dry.
Microwaving sponges
When sponges get a little too dirty, people will just throw them away and replace them. However, there are ways to clean sponges and get a lot of that bacteria and dirt out of it. Take a dirty, damp sponge and stick it in the microwave for about 90 seconds. You’ll find that a lot of the bacteria and stains on the sponge are gone, and you’ll be able to use them again for a long period of time. Save yourself some money by reusing all of your sponges.
These are excellent tips for keeping your kitchen nice and clean. Never forget the importance of continually cleaning. If you allow things to build up, it can be tough to find the motivation to clean it all. Create a schedule and routine that works for you and stick to it as best as you can.
